Hi All - My Name is Ian Frith and I'm a Systems Engineer here at Pure Storage in the UK. I've worked in IT for 36 years with 15 of those in the glorious and arcane world of data storage (it's the arcane bit we're trying to change!). Always happy to share advice, war stories experiences - good and bad.ifrith3 months agoPuritan30Views5likes0CommentsHey, hey! I'm Jason Walker, Director Technical Strategy at Pure!
I've been with Pure Storage since 2019, bringing Pure Storage’s Cyber Resilience message to the market. I've met with thousands of customers on the best approach for their desired outcomes and appeared on many, many webinars and events. We've come a long way in such a short period of time, and I am excited for the future! Personal note, I am a graduate of the University of Florida, have covered sports as a sportswriter and on-air personality, and currently reside in Daytona Beach Shores, FL. Hi to the Pure Storage community! I'm Dan Banche, a Systems Engineer in the Pure Storage UK&I Enterprise team, a Yorkshireman based in the south-east of England. With a couple of decades in IT behind me, primarily focused on data protection and storage, I joined Pure in the summer of 2023. My experience working for/with partners, resellers and vendors has given me exposure to a variety of technologies within the data centre and clouds; IBM provided my initial foray into storage (TSM and SVC), followed by NetApp, Dell EMC (Data Domain, Isilon and ECS) and data protection as a service. All that puts me in a good position to appreciate the benefits of the Pure Storage data storage platform and its Evergreen architecture! You will see me at the FlashCrew Pure User Group events we run throughout the year, and if you do see me at any in-person events, please say hello!dbanche3 months agoPuritan83Views4likes1CommentHello from Dublin
Hi everyone, I'm Andrew Pruski, a Principal Field Solution Architect at Pure Storage. Joined in September 2022 and before that I was a SQL Server DBA for around 15 years. I'm a Microsoft Data Platform MVP, Docker Captain, and VMware vExpert. Here to help customers get 100% out of SQL Server when running on Pure!AndrewPruski3 months agoPuritan61Views4likes1CommentHi from Seattle!
I’m JD and I’m a Pure Employee leading our US and Canada based Principal Technologist team. I live just outside of Seattle (Lake Forest Park) with my family. I also get to occasionally co-host episodes of The Pure Report podcast with Ludes and anmiller. Outside of Pure I’m into a lot of geeky things. My wife says I collect hobbies. I host a Pathfinder tabletop RPG campaign that’s been running since 2019. I scuba dive. I’m a Ham radio operator (N8JD), and I play golf extremely poorly. I may be best known however for my tendency to get in front of a karaoke mic. I don’t sing well but I do sing a lot. 😝jd5 months agoPuritan134Views4likes3CommentsHello world! I recently joined Pure about 3 months
Hello world! I recently joined Pure about 3 months ago as a Principal Field Solutions Architect in AI/ML leading the field in US and Canada (or the hopes of eventually!). My background is bit of a mix between academic and industry as I did a PhD in Physics and AI about 10 years ago, did a series of postdocs and eventually transitioned to industry in 2019. Since then I've headed up startups in their data science, AI/ML engineering initiatives, and even once they made me director of engineering (went ok, actually). You can think of me as mostly a tech lead that just enjoys coding way too much. I have a general bio in a research journal I started at Pure if you're interested to learn more: https://sites.google.com/purestorage.com/richard-galvez-internal-blog/about|my bio. On the technical side, my background is in MLE, MLOps / AIOps centered around the typical python/pytorch/tensorflow/docker/serverless/etc/etc stack. Happy to contribute any way I can to this space.rgalvez10 months agoNovice I28Views4likes0Comments
