Hi everyone, our big show stopper for moving to vvol

That's interesting that they noted support for vVol in there. I think that's a typo since scsi-vVols never had san transport support. However, maybe if it's vVols on nvme, that does get incorporated? Let me do some digging and I'll get back to you, but my first reaction is that it's a typo.

I haven't been able to do hands on testing (testbed is currently locked up with some activeDR testing), but I do have a meeting with VMware eng on next Tuesday that I've put this topic on the agenda. So at worse, should have an update after Tuesday.

I got my weeks mixed up, the meeting was this last tuesday, but it was on next tuesday. Sorry about that. I also found out that my backup appliance/setup was borked, so I've needed to get that reconfigured to do a test with a backup appliance, just to confirm that at least nvme-of vmfs datastores works with san transport. I did send an email over to their storage pm and one of their main engineers, but I both have been on PTO. Hopefully will have an update on next Tuesday. Thanks for the follow up.

Okay, just synced up with VMware Engineering. It is indeed a typo. There is not san transport support for NVMe-vVols.
