Hi all Hope you're all having a great day. We have several customers going down the Proxmox VE road. One of my colleagues was put onto https://github.com/kolesa-team/pve-purestorage-plugin as a possible solution (as using Pure behind Proxmox (using the native Proxmox release) is not a particularly Pure-like experience. Could someone from Pure comment on the plugin's validity/supportability?
I'm also starting the process of using PureStorage and Proxmox VE. There's still some difficulty in understanding and configuring it. The main operating characteristics haven't been properly learned yet. But we're on the right track, who knows. I believe that adopting Proxmox would fill a large gap that was opened up with VMware's change in strategy.
Now Pure could help with this, adopting and facilitating the process. Who knows, maybe even in a dream, acquiring a Proxmox system and distributing it for free to Pure customers. If they did so, they would dominate the market. Remember that not so long ago, EMC owned VMware.
We'll keep trying, because one day we'll make it happen. Thank you.
From my understanding that is a community driven project and does not have any official contribution from Pure Storage. I also don't know how active the updates and feature management is with the contributors either.
When Pure initially reached out to Proxmox about building out an official integration we were essentially directed to contribute on the community and open source side of things and that Proxmox did not have plans to build a UX plugin spec. There have been requests made for Pure to develop an official integration plugin with Proxmox, but right now it's not a committed or funded project.
We have created a quick start guide for using Proxmox and do have work in progress for adding to that quick start guide. And we will be working on some demos to add to that as well early next year.

I'll second this, I'm running a trial using the plugin at the moment, and would like to know if Pure have any plans to engage either Proxmox or the plugin authors to smooth support for the Proxmox platform.
I'm going to give this a crack but worries about the long time support of the solution. Would be nice to have some pure support and leadership on the issue.
