Howdy from East Texas !
I'm an Enterprise SE supporting Healthcare Customers. I'd love for my customers to come out of the woodwork here and give a howdy. I support the creation of REAL BBQ ... that is TEXAS BBQ, there is no other BBQ :-) In my downtime I enjoy woodworking and supporting our local community through volunteer work at a local food pantry. I'm also a Board member of our Meal-A-Day program with a mission of providing hot, nutritious meals to homebound or elderly residents in the community, ensuring they receive both nourishment and regular human contact. I also support this mission by assisting my spouse in her community garden that she created when we moved back to her small town community. Which means I now have a TRACTOR and I see work through "tractor eyes" :-)

Yesterday was May the 4th, which is like an unofficial geek holiday for those of us who are Star Wars fans. Like many epics, there are tons of underlying themes like good vs evil, striving for balance, and how freedom is fragile. But I prefer to focus on my favorite scene that comes from "The Last Jedi." https://lnkd.in/gXHGzUDf "Pass on what you have learned. Strength, mastery, mmm. But weakness, folly, failure also. Yes, failure most of all. The greatest teacher failure is." - Yoda We all make mistakes. Those of us who make lots of them, also learn pretty quickly. Admitting our mistakes and sharing them with younger developers or engineers might help them accelerate their learning, with fewer challenges of their own. "We are what they grow beyond. That is the true burden of all masters." - Yoda As some of our careers move more towards management and leadership roles, this piece of wisdom from Yoda, may serve your teams well.
