Hello Pure Storage Community!
Hello everyone! My name is Casey (she/her) and I’m popping in to introduce myself as the new Program Coordinator, Communities here at Pure Storage. I'm so incredibly excited to dive in and assist with the great work the team has been doing with this community! I'm looking forward to getting to know you all, talk shop on all things storage and hearing your ideas for how we can make this community even better. A little about me, I started my Community journey in the gaming world and outside of work you can either find me on a hike, on the dancefloor or with my nose in a book. Please don't hesitate to reach out! Whether it's with a question, a suggestion or just to say hello. I’m here!catud10 days agoCommunity Manager20Views0likes0CommentsIt's great to meet you!
Hello everyone, My name is Dave Stevens and I'm a Field Solutions Architect specializing in virtualization integrations, such as hypervisors, as they pertain to Pure Storage. Let's talk about the VMware/Broadcom debacle some time soon. I'm originally from Pittsburgh, PA. I can speak fluent Pittsburghese. My wife and I moved to southern New Hampshire many years ago. Before Pure I held several roles across multiple organizations including, system architecture and design, storage infrastructure, backup infrastructure and security technologies. While I miss my days as a customer, I'm excited to be at Pure talking about our technologies to help make your lives simpler. To read a bit more about me head over to my personal blog and peruse some of the topics I have blogged about over the years. Hint, hint, it's typically about virtualization. There are many of us at Pure that live in the New England region. So, if you are also in New England, please reach out. I would love to meetup and chat about all things Pure and virtualization. Also keep an eye on the Northeast Region Pure User Group (PUG) section of the site here for upcoming PUGs. I hope to see you and I promise to bring along some local Pure folks for you to meet. In the region we cover a bunch of topics ranging from cyber resilience, AI, unstructured data, databases (SAP, MS SQL, Oracle, etc.), cloud, automation and much more. I hope to see you soon.21Views0likes0CommentsMudra Hello!!!
Hello from Ohio!!! Joe Mudra here, Pure Systems Engineer supporting State Local & Education Customers in Ohio & Kentucky. Some many know me from the shoes, the beard, or maybe the Christmas Cards. I've been at Pure Storage for 2 years, prior to that I was at Arctic Wolf Networks for 1.5 years, and Veeam Software for almost 7 years!!! But more importantly, I spent most of my time in IT in YOUR shoes, our Users!!! From my humble beginnings at Ohio University in a small IT shop there while going to school, to Enterprise sized Businesses in the Central Ohio region. I'm super excited for this new Pure Storage Community hub and really hope our customers leverage the wealth of knowledge that exists in our customer base. Look forward to seeing what our community makes of this new space!!!65Views0likes1CommentHey, hey! I'm Jason Walker, Director Technical Strategy at Pure!
I've been with Pure Storage since 2019, bringing Pure Storage’s Cyber Resilience message to the market. I've met with thousands of customers on the best approach for their desired outcomes and appeared on many, many webinars and events. We've come a long way in such a short period of time, and I am excited for the future! Personal note, I am a graduate of the University of Florida, have covered sports as a sportswriter and on-air personality, and currently reside in Daytona Beach Shores, FL. Hi to the Pure Storage community! My name is Rohan Mohindra, a Systems Engineer in the Pure Storage UK&I Enterprise team, based in the south-east of England (Berkshire to be specific). My passion for tech and IT began when my dad taught me how to build my first computer aged 12 and I have been working in IT since 2005. I've held a variety of roles for various companies scaling from support to Product Management to Infrastructure Management, Customer Services, and Pre-Sales. Ive previously been a SCRUM master for Agile development methodologies and an ISO27001 officer as well as supervising teams and mentoring younger team members. For the past 10 years I have been focused on Storage, Cloud and all things IT working for HDS, Huawei, NetApp and finally Pure during the process. I joined Pure in the summer of 2022 and have touched multiple Enterprise customers already. I have worked with a variety of partners, resellers and vendors on a wide range of technologies within the data centre and cloud; but eventually I joined Pure due its Evergreen architecture benefits specially around NDU, TCO and green credentials! You will see me at the FlashCrew Pure User events in 2025 and 2026 in the UK as I will be co-hosting these.. if you do see me, please say hello and lets have a chat about anything technology related .. or if you like me also share a propensity for collecting things (for me its Transformers and modern classic cars) then feel free to chat about that too!RohanMohindra3 months agoPuritan95Views3likes1CommentHello from NC

I'm an Enterprise SE supporting Healthcare Customers. I'd love for my customers to come out of the woodwork here and give a howdy. I support the creation of REAL BBQ ... that is TEXAS BBQ, there is no other BBQ :-) In my downtime I enjoy woodworking and supporting our local community through volunteer work at a local food pantry. I'm also a Board member of our Meal-A-Day program with a mission of providing hot, nutritious meals to homebound or elderly residents in the community, ensuring they receive both nourishment and regular human contact. I also support this mission by assisting my spouse in her community garden that she created when we moved back to her small town community. Which means I now have a TRACTOR and I see work through "tractor eyes" :-)35Views3likes0CommentsGreetings From a FLORIDA MAN!
Hello fellow storage nerds! I wanted to stop by and say hi to everybody who is in the mix on Pure's new Community site. I am pretty stoked at its potential for me to occasionally contribute some stuff, but more importantly, round out my knowledge of how things are going for our customers and where there are opportunities to improve our storage arrays. For those of you outside the US who don't know the "Florida Man" reference, here's a great spot to give you an idea of what that means 😂 - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Florida_Man. Basically, "Florida Man" is the US-version of "Australian Man" ... no offense to Australia 🇦🇺😀. For those who are curious - I am a former SE (going all the way back to working a Sun Microsystems) who made the jump to marketing when I came to Pure and am working now as a Technical Evangelist...which is being being a hype man for our platform and using my SE brain to provide technical guidance to the different campaigns we run. Honestly, it has put a second wind in my career that was burning out from being in sales for so long. And, Pure's stuff makes it VERY easy to get excited and hype it up 💪.dpoorman3 months agoModerator67Views2likes1CommentHey Folks! Excited for the new community
Hey! My name is Cody Hosterman--I am in product mgmt at Pure--been here for almost exactly 11 years traditionally focused on VMware but now focused on driving our overall virtualization strategy and our public cloud product investment. Hit me up if you have ideas/questions/concerns! Happy to be here :) CodyCody_Hosterman3 months agoPuritan39Views5likes0CommentsHello from England!
Hi to the Pure Storage community! I'm Dan Banche, a Systems Engineer in the Pure Storage UK&I Enterprise team, a Yorkshireman based in the south-east of England. With a couple of decades in IT behind me, primarily focused on data protection and storage, I joined Pure in the summer of 2023. My experience working for/with partners, resellers and vendors has given me exposure to a variety of technologies within the data centre and clouds; IBM provided my initial foray into storage (TSM and SVC), followed by NetApp, Dell EMC (Data Domain, Isilon and ECS) and data protection as a service. All that puts me in a good position to appreciate the benefits of the Pure Storage data storage platform and its Evergreen architecture! You will see me at the FlashCrew Pure User Group events we run throughout the year, and if you do see me at any in-person events, please say hello!dbanche3 months agoPuritan81Views4likes1Comment
