I have started the process to migrate between arrays

I have started the process to migrate between arrays - I'm using ActiveCluster (again - it kicks hiney!) and have set the PreferredArray for a batch of volumes (just before I cut them over) I moved over. I have another batch of volumes that I will migrate in the next week. Both arrays are in the same DC, a rack apart. As I read the documentation I think it won't be an issue to leave that set - it only comes into play with ActiveCluster; and then only when the volume is online on both arrays. Am I correct thinking that I should I blank it out?
  • that setting serves for a specific response for ActiveCluster implementation experiencing more than 1 failure, where for example one array from the AC cannot talk over mgmt / replication networks with the other array + cannot talk to the mediator; I don’t think the configured preference would matter if that volume is not part of an AC POD
  • *Update - I've been slowly moving volumes over and have left it configured. It has been working as expected. I also link the volume on the new X50 (rescan storage - verify the link shows up on the array) and drop the link on the old X50; so there is only a brief period of time when both links are active and this would be impacting.
