What new skills and certifications are you pursuing?

Hi everyone!

We all read about how technology is changing everything for everyone.

Are you pursuing new skills and certifications based on your current experience?
What's driving that?  How can we learn from each other?

I'm learning more about building an MCP servers and how they work!

  • I’ve been learning how to use AI more like a chief of staff, professionally and at home, and that has been a game changer for me.

I use it to plan my day and week, organize travel, help plan my mom’s 75th birthday, sort through competing priorities, and stay focused on the work that actually matters instead of chasing the next shiny object.

Curious how others are using AI in their day-to-day lives. Has anyone found a use case that has genuinely changed how you work or plan?

  • HarrisonT2 yes to chief of staff! I like to think of mine as an EA. Similar- plan my day, plan my week, organize our family calendar, help me prioritize. The Skylight Calendar has been a lifesaver there. I can forward any email from the school and it populates straight into our calendar with the built-in AI assistant.

For work, I love the morning briefings from Claude- keeps me on top of emails or responses I need to follow up on, priorities for the day, and even news and trends to keep track of.

Shoutout to bmcdougall for her helpful AI prompt she shared the other day!
