Technology Tip Thursday! ๐Ÿ’ป This week: Computer Nostalgia

๐Ÿ’ก Technology Tip Thursday ๐Ÿ’ก is here again! We have another fun factoid that will sure to expand on your knowledge of computers!

Did you know that it was this month in 1953 that the worldโ€™s first mass produced computer, the IBM 650 series, was announced publicly?

It changed the computing landscape, through its affordability and ease of use which lent itself to a much wider adoption. In terms of storage, the IBM 650 stored information on a rotating magnetic drum and received it on programmed punch cards. Its memory stored numbers with up to 10 decimal digits!

Talk about rapid growth over these recent years!

So for this weekโ€™s Technology Tip Thursday we ask: What's one of your first or fondest memories of the first time you tinkered with a computer?

Let us know in the comments below and make sure to comment on other community memberโ€™s nostalgia as well! We can all take this trip down memory lane together!
