Hey Connecticut PUG members! I want to introduce myself. I'm a Field Solutions Architect who specializes in virtualization integrations, such as hypervisors, as they pertain to Pure Storage. I don't live in Connecticut, but I'm not far. I'm up in southern New Hampshire. Before I came to Pure I held several roles across multiple organizations including, system architecture and design, storage infrastructure, backup infrastructure and security technologies. While I miss my days as a customer, I'm excited to be at Pure talking about our technologies to help make your lives simpler. There are many of us at Pure that live in the region. So, as we get ready to announce our first PUG in July I hope to see you and I promise to bring along some local Pure folks for you to meet. In the region we can cover a bunch of topics ranging from cyber resilience, AI, unstructured data, databases (SAP, MS SQL, Oracle, etc.), cloud, automation and many more. My name is Tristan Todd. I manage the Unstructured Data Field Solution Architects (FSAs) that cover the US and Canada. I've been at Pure for 18-months and prior to that I was at VMware for 10 years. I've been very active in the virtualization community since 2004. This year, I'm pivoting away from virtualization and now focusing on file and object use-cases. My team are some of the smartest, most creative, and focused architects in the industry. Pure has a very differentiated approach to unified data services (which we sometimes call Real-Time Enterprise File). A big focus for Pure in 2025 will be expanding our support for unstructured data use-cases with our Customers and Partners. I'm based just outside of Portland, Oregon. I live with my wife and 3 rescue dogs. In my free time, I enjoy cooking/running/eating. You can often find me in your nearest major airport, traveling for work. I'm easy to spot, I'll be the bald guy wearing orange!
