Is it possible to change vvol capacity reporting in vsphere
Is it possible to change vvol capacity reporting in vsphere to reflect a more accurate picture of free space? I know it's complicated, I read Cody's blog on it. Just wondering if i can change it to 120tb instead of 9pb.Solved20Views0likes2CommentsvSphere 8.0 U1c currently. Upgrading to 8.0 U2b
vSphere 8.0 U1c currently. Upgrading to 8.0 U2b this week. Yes, I keep up with VMTools updates on the VMs. I'll reinstall the plugin to verify if I can see the information that way. I have SQL server installed on Windows 2022 clustered VMs using vVols that I want to test using the snapshot and T-SQL code to replicate/copy the vVols to other servers. And since they are vVols it is difficult to map a drive letter in Windows to the vVol on the array to make sure I have the right one. If I can't find a solution, I'll just copy each one that matches the size of the ones I need, mount them and check if it's the correct volume.7Views0likes0CommentsIf anyone has any tips on settings to verify in VMware
If anyone has any tips on settings to verify in VMware that could be limited read/write performance shoot them my way. We have looked at the Best Practices guide from Pure, ran the analyzer from github, and have cases open with both support teams.Solved19Views0likes6Comments
