Hello from Florida!
Hello! My name is David Stamen and I am the Director of Technical Strategy for Cloud and Virtualization. My role allows me to work with our customers, partners and our field to make our solutions successful! I have been happily at Pure Storage for over 5 years now. When not working (or on slack) you can find me 3D Printing, Building Legos, Cycling or Running (New "Hobby"!)12Views3likes2CommentsHello from VA
Greetings from the pollen-inundated Commonwealth of Virginia! My name is Greg and I'm a Principal Technologist over US Federal for a little over a year now. I've spent time at EMC(and all it's permutations to present day) and in the partner space covering just about every vertical out there. In my free time, I love traveling with my wife(the Disney Princess below), catching the occasional game and most recently steering into trade crafts. A good friend of mine has reminded me that as much as we work with technology, jumping from video conferences and traveling to events....it's a refresher for the brain to disconnect and work with your hands. And yes, like my shirt in the picture says....it's not the years it's the mileage ;)10Views3likes1CommentGreetings from Chicago!
My name is Eric Shanks and I'm a Principal Technical Marketing Engineer for Portworx by Pure Storage. At Portworx I try to educate people about how cloud native storage solutions like Portworx Enterprise can manage persistent data for containers or KubeVirt based virtual machines to modernize your application stack.6Views1like1CommentHello from Utah

Hello fellow storage nerds! I wanted to stop by and say hi to everybody who is in the mix on Pure's new Community site. I am pretty stoked at its potential for me to occasionally contribute some stuff, but more importantly, round out my knowledge of how things are going for our customers and where there are opportunities to improve our storage arrays. For those of you outside the US who don't know the "Florida Man" reference, here's a great spot to give you an idea of what that means π - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Florida_Man. Basically, "Florida Man" is the US-version of "Australian Man" ... no offense to Australia π¦πΊπ. For those who are curious - I am a former SE (going all the way back to working a Sun Microsystems) who made the jump to marketing when I came to Pure and am working now as a Technical Evangelist...which is being being a hype man for our platform and using my SE brain to provide technical guidance to the different campaigns we run. Honestly, it has put a second wind in my career that was burning out from being in sales for so long. And, Pure's stuff makes it VERY easy to get excited and hype it up πͺ.0Views0likes0Comments
